Michael Craig Cox

Michael Craig Cox (also affectionately known as Harvey) passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, three days after his 71st birthday. He suffered from Parkinson’s Disease for 25 years.

Mike was born October 2, 1951 in Belleville, IL to Virginia and Hugh Cox. He enjoyed playing pool, riding his motorcycle with his friends, and listening to class rock and roll. He was a father to two children. Mike was proud to be an American and regularly donated to the Wounded Warrior Project and other veteran services. He was very creative and knowledgeable about construction; he worked on many city projects, playground equipment for his children, the first house his family lived in and even his own custom Harley Davidson.

Mike is preceded in death by his brother Bruce Cox and his son Brad Cox. He is survived by his sister Susan; brother Tom; daughter Hilary.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
