Natasha L. Oakman

Natasha Oakman passed away June 1st, 2023, after a brief and courageous battle with an unexpected medical condition.

Born April 5th, 1974, in Denver, she moved to Omaha to attend Creighton University.

She was a teacher at Duchesne Academy for her whole working life and influenced many young students there.

She married Steve Oakman in 1999 and shared 24 wonderful years with him. She gave him a life more than he ever dreamed possible.

Above all, she loved teaching.

But she also enjoyed silly TV shows, playing cards with Steve, riding motorcycles, chatting with her friends, and observing the beauty of Nature all around her.

I think her very favorite thing was walking barefoot on beaches as the sun set over the ocean, as she made many trips to California for just that.

She will be missed by all who knew her.
