Phyllis (Hansen) Janssen, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, September 26th, 2024. She was born on December 16th, 1936 to Martin and Hilda Hansen. She was raised on their farm near Reynolds, Nebraska and graduated from Reynolds H.S. On December 28th, 1958 she married Allen Janssen and would have celebrated 66 years of marriage in December. To this union three children were born: Mark, Sheri, and Chris. They raised their children in Harbine, Nebraska.
Phyllis worked many years as a bookkeeper for the Farmers Co-op Elevator in both Harbine and Plymouth, Nebraska. In 1983, Phyllis and Allen moved to Plymouth. Later they retired to Bella Vista, Arkansas where they spent many years enjoying the beautiful scenery and nice weather. In February 2022, they moved back to Nebraska and lived at the Parsons House Assisted Living in Omaha, Nebraska.
Phyllis loved spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved poodles and cats. She had a green thumb and could make any plant flourish. She was a master seamstress who could create beautiful clothing, especially dresses for her granddaughters, and household items. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with Allen. For many years, they enjoyed attending auctions, collecting, and selling antiques. Phyllis was a big Husker fan and a slot machine enthusiast, eager to play when they visited their favorite casinos.
