Regina was born in Omaha, May 9, 1950, to Pauline (Lazzaretti) and Paul F. Marchio. A graduate of Mercy High School and St. Joseph's Nursing School, she cared for patients throughout her long career at St. Joseph's Hospital on South 10th Street and Creighton University Medical Center on North 30th Street. After retirement, she remained active in many ways in the nursing community as a volunteer at Better Living.
Gina was preceded in death by her parents; sister Olga Goodbout; niece Madeleine Marchio; cousin Pamela James.
Gina is survived by her husband, Richard Browning; brothers Paul Marchio, Riccardo (Mary) Marchio, and Gregory (Concetta) Marchio; brother-in-law James Goodbout; very special cousin and loving friend Nancy (John) Heida; nephews Paul Marchio, Mario (Nicole) Marchio, Joseph Nagel (Michele Burr), Anthony (Shelly) Marchio, Stephen (Mary) Marchio; Peter (Heather) Marchio; Nicholas (Lisa) Marchio, and Michael Marchio; great-nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her step-children and their families, to whom she was a loving friend, second mother and grandmother: Virginia (David) Snyder, Suzanne (Sean) Tatschl, Sarah Browning, Eric (Julie) Browning and David (Carol) Browning, along with fourteen step-grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved her very much. Gina was loved by a host of cousins and other relatives, and many friends and nursing colleagues.
