Rev. Theodore L. Richling, Jr.

Fr. Ted is the oldest of five boys and two girls born to the Honorable Theodore and Ruth (McMullen) Richling of Omaha.



Fr. Richling grew up in Holy Cross and Christ the King Parishes and attended Creighton Prep High School. He attended seminary training in Conception, MO. He has a BA in Philosophy, a teacher’s Certificatein Social Studies. He obtained a Masters of Arts in Theology from Aquinas Institue in 1971. Fr. has a Masters in Divinity from Creighton University and a Doctorate of Ministry from the University of Chicago. He was Ordained in 1971.



He served as an assistant pastor at various parishes including St. Columbkille, St. Robert Bellarmine, St. Cecilia Cathedral, Christ the King and St. Leo the Great.



He was a pastor in Lynch, Genoa and Krakow, Nebraska. Fr. student taught in Niobrara and started the House of Renewal. Fr, was involved with many groups.



Some of his activities included a Hunter Safety instructor, Knights of Columbus, Omaha Magical Society, Legion of Mary, Blue Army, past President of the Lions Club, Ducks Unlimited and was a chaplain in several groups in the city.



He was preceded in death by his parents, The Honorable Theodore and Ruth McMullen Richling; brother, Brian Richling. Survived by his siblings, Dr. Dennis (Colleen) Richling, Larry (Mary) Richling, Michele Gifford, John (Vicki) Richling, Carra Richling; nieces and nephews.
