Richard B. Atwood

Richard "Rick" Bradley Atwood was born in Holdrege, Nebraska to Robert Wray and Arlene Kathryn Atwood on June 9, 1957 and passed away on December 1, 2023 at the age of 66.

Rick was a retired elementary teacher with the Omaha Public Schools.  He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1975.  He had a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Nebraska Omaha.  He received a Master of Science in Education Degree from Peru State College.

Rick married his wife Laura Camille Ostby of Omaha, Nebraska on November 10, 1984.  He loved his cats and had humorous voices for all of them.  He enjoyed his bird hobby, wildlife, and old clock interest.

Rick - KOHE had an Amateur Radio Extra Class license.  He was very active in the US Army MARS program.

Survived by wife Laura Camille Atwood; nephews and nieces.  Preceded in death by parents Robert and Arlene; sister Robin Plummer.

Funeral Service Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 10:00AM with Visitation half hour prior at John A. Gentleman Mortuaries Bellevue Chapel. Interment: Bellevue Cemetery.
