Richard "Dick" J O'Brien

Dick was an alumni and life-long Creighton Blue Jay fan. He graduated from Creighton Prep in 1945, Creighton University in 1949 and Creighton Law in 1952. He was a member of the Serra Club and Christian Life Communities and also an avid golfer.



Preceded in death by parents, Richard and Geraldine O’Brien; sister, Mary Louise Tunakan. Survived by wife of 61 years, Renee; children, Phil O’Brien, Wynne (Lewis) O’Brien Persons, Christopher (Shayla) O’Brien, and Guy O’Brien (Gina Durfee); grandchildren, Meghan (Matt Spies), Maureen O’Brien, Alex Steinmetz, Brogan and Tynan O’Brien, Maya, Malcolm and Maura Durfee O’Brien; sisters, Patricia O’Brien and Geraldine Kerby; many nieces and nephews.



In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John Catholic Church, Christian Life Community or St. Vincent de Paul Society.
