Rita J. Gannett

Rita was born in Omaha, Nebraska on May 23, 1931.



She was preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Irene Volcek, 2nd husband Milton Allen and 3rd husband Charles Gannett.



Rita raised 4 children by her 1st husband, Tom McCoy: Mark McCoy, Mary McCoy Shapiro, Bernard ( Jaye ), Theresa (Ed, her favorite son-in-law ) McMorrow. 7 grandchildren, Markie and Patrick McCoy, Connor and Grant McCoy, Warren Anzalone (Laura ), Erin McMorrow and Edward McMorrow, III. She has 2 great grandchildren, George and Annabelle Anzalone.



After a life as a business owner, she retired, part time, to Florida, where she spent time golfing and volunteering with the Red Cross. She became an avid traveler and spent time in other countries and taking many cruises around the world.



She spent her last years in a memory care facility after dementia took control. She was a very special and unique woman who was loved very much and will be missed greatly.
