Robert Carling Padios, 84, beloved husband, father, uncle, and grandfather.
Preceded in death by parents, Consorcio Padios and Blanche (Betty) Rogers and sister, Madeline Harter. Survived by wife, Lisa Strimple-Padios; sisters Rena Hale and Sandy Rogers; brothers Gerald Padios and Ronald Rogers; children and spouses Victor and Michaela Padios and Alaina Hickman and Ryan Carroll; 10 grandchildren Lila, Sean, Wesley, Oliver, Edith, Vivian, Rose, Thomas, Victor and Iris; many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
If you knew Bob, you know what a wonderful man he was: kind, generous, loving, tough, fiercely loyal, quick-witted, and absolutely one-of-a-kind. He was an unforgettable character, willing to strike up a conversation with anyone about anything at the drop of a hat and endlessly quotable with his deep baritone and thick Philly accent. His exploits in the pool hall were the stuff of legend. It was truly amazing to watch him as he danced around the table pocketing ball after ball with deft touch, grace, and power. He showed us all the indispensable value of hard work and demonstrated every single day what it meant to sacrifice for the ones you love. He will be dearly missed.
