Robert F. "Chappy" Chapman

Robert F. "Chappy" Chapman IV, 45, of Bellevue, NE passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Robert was born on March 12, 1976 in Toledo, OH and raised in Stillwater, OK. He was a 14 year US Air Force veteran and he served 2 tours in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He then went on to civilian duty at Great Falls Vet Center (Great Falls, MT) and Offutt Air Force Base (Bellevue, NE). Robert was a loving husband, father, and son. He was incredibly talented, creative, and passionate when it came to his hobbies - drawing and woodworking. He was an avid Batman fan and loved watching and rooting for his favorite sports teams: SF 49ers, OSU Cowboys, and LA Dodgers.



Robert is survived by his wife, Laura (Dull) Chapman (Bellevue, NE), his children: son, Brycen Chapman (Neenah, WI), daughter, Aytha Chapman and step-son, Hunter Heald (Bellevue, NE), his parents: Marvin and Marcie Potts (Gulfport, MS), his in-laws: Dan and Laura Dull (Douglass, KS), his step-brothers: Roby Potts and Michael Potts (TX), his extended family, 1ACCS squadron (Offutt AFB), and friends.



A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 at John A. Gentleman Mortuaries, 3402 Samson Way, Bellevue, NE. Visitation begins at 1:00 PM and shared memories begins at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in honor of Robert to the National Alliance on Mental Illness at NAMI.org.
