Robert Kenneth Sundell, son of Maybelle and Soren left this earth on Sunday, October 22, 2023 to join his beautiful bride in eternal peace.
He leaves behind his children Mark Sundell , Debbie Ferrin (Chuck deceased), Lori White (Frank) and Linda Sullivan (Greg), Julie and Katy, 8 grand children, 12 great grand children, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Bob had a great sense of adventure and curious mind, starting at a very early age. He served in the Coast Guard and fell in love with Alaska and the great outdoors. From fishing, hunting, farming with family and raising a wolf cub, he was all about nature. Bob never missed a weekend of hunting or fishing as it was his hobby and his outlet. He had such a love of dogs both training and hunting them and introducing these dogs into our family life. We grew up with Lady, Gus, Brutt, Robbie, Buck, Duck, and Goose. Camping who can forget those camping trips- – every summer for two weeks we would go camping in tents, and campers in the mountains and always with friends. He had a love of the mountains, campfires, bears, trout, and oh the campfire songs we would sing. Later in life, wild life photography became his passion. He was able to look at something ordinary and even extraordinary and find a million different ways to interpret what he’s seeing and convey those interpretations in beautiful and meaningful photos.
One of the most important lessons Bob instilled in his children and demonstrated in his actions, was his work ethic. He taught us that if you worked hard, you need to play hard and that included The Nebraska Cornhuskers. His faithfulness to the team never wavered.
Dad knew about moms’ deep faith and in the 90’s, converted to Catholicism so they could enjoy their Sunday’s with God. Rest in peace.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. [8] Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
