Robert William Mcanally

Robert “Bob” or “Pop Pops” William McAnally was born on May 4, 1938 in Lehigh, Iowa. Bob was diagnosed with cerebral palsy shortly after his birth but he never let it hold him back from living a long and productive life. Bob drove a tow truck or “wrecker” as he liked to call it for 45+ years even through the deepest snow. He was well known and loved by many and all of the kind and gentle words that we have received on his behalf just confirm that which all of us- his loving family- already knew, Bob was a very rare kind of man that was kind and gentle to everybody with not a mean bone in his body. Bob is preceded in death by 4 of his children Baby Girl McAnally, Robert Jay McAnally, Mary Anna McAnally and Richard Dean McAnally. Parents Mary Panzi McAnally and Newell McAnally. Siblings: Edith Panzi Shoemaker, John Panzi, Mary Panzi West, Paul Panzi, Joe Panzi, Norman Panzi and 2 infant brothers. He is survived by his son, Jay (Lisa) McAnally, sister Marjorie Panzi Goble, grandchildren Julia McAnally, Hayley Fuller, Kirsten Arnold, Samantha Arnold, Andrew Arnold and Alexander Woodard, three great-grandchildren plus one on the way, many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
