Ruth Anita Schwein Nicholson was born in Dodge, Nebraska on May 24, 1914. She married William Gray Nicholson on May 28, 1937.
Ruth was a 60 year Charter Member of Chapter FY, PEO Sisterhood and active in many civic organizations. She was proud to have been Secretary of the Board of Directors of Immanuel Hospital (now Alegent) and as such signed the "check" that bought the land on which that great complex is built.
Ruth and her husband Bill owned Quick Mailing Service. She was active at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church.
Preceded in death by husband, William Gray Nicholson. Survived by children, William (Catherine Harmon) Nicholson of Atlanta, GA and Janet Thompson of Omaha, NE; 3 grandsons, John (Karen) Nicholson of Naples, FL, Joseph (Angie) Nicholson of Gainesville, FL and Jason Nicholson of Atlanta, GA; granddaughter Jocelyn (Dan) of Silver Springs, MD.
