Sabrina Dawn Jones

Beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend Sabrina Dawn Jones died recently in her Bennington home. She was 39. Alumnus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Sabrina received her Bachelor of Arts in French and Masters of Textile and Clothing Design. During her years as a student, her passion for culture and language led to opportunities abroad. She studied French in Besançon, France, and design in London, where she interned with designer Zandra Rhodes. After graduation, she started Sabrina Jones Designs, specializing in bridal and evening wear. She was a veteran member of the Omaha fashion community, and was involved with Omaha Fashion Week since its inception in 2008. She also had a passion for fitness and was a longtime instructor at Blue Moon Fitness. Following the tradition of her family, she embraced volunteerism, donating time and creative work to the local arts community and Suburban Rotary. Her bright smile and infectious laugh brightened any room she entered.



Preceded in death by sister, Angela Kay Weatherlow. Survived by daughters, Taylor Ashton Ryan and Madeline Gold Stapp; parents, Vernie and Carter Jones, brothers, Coulter (Ryann) Jones and Wyndham Jones; grandmother, Joy Jones; nieces, Destiny, Kelsey and Evelyn Jones; great-niece and nephew, Scarlett and Sterling Hall; uncles, Herbert Smith and Lew (Sarah) Jones; aunt, Goldie Stroud; boyfriend, Joey Meier; many other loving family and friends.
