Sally J. Hutfless

d. August 28, 2022

Born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Y. Edward and Katherine (Ryan) Sanders.

Preceded by: sons, Michael and Neil; parents; sister, Kathleen Ahern (Michael); brother, Martin Sanders; daughter-in-law, Robin Hutfless.

Survived by: husband, Stephan M. “Mike”; children, Steve, Brian (Kris), Maureen, Kevin (Christina), Sheila Pino (Paul); grandchildren, Michaela Distefano, Michael Hutfless, Martin Hutfless, Mary Kate Rathmann (Sam), Patrick Hutfless; great-grandchildren; extended family and friends.

Sally was a terrific mom. She would do anything for her kids, and even after they were grown adults, was always offering to help. She had a great smile and was quick to laugh, and she kept her smile even through times of adversity. People gravitated to her warmth. Sally was proud of her Irish heritage, and later in life, she finally got to fulfill her dream of touring the Emerald Isle. She loved her kitties, who became her new kids after her human children had grown up and moved away from home. Sally will be sorely missed by all of us who knew her, but we know that she is lighting up heaven with her wonderful smile!
