Sandra Barritt Hodge Johnson

Sandra Barritt Hodge Johnson passed away on August 16, 2021, at the age of 84. She was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa and attended Abraham Lincoln High School, graduating in 1955. She married (and later divorced) Vern Hodge. Most of her early life was spent raising their 10 children. She worked for 5 years as a school secretary in Bellevue, Nebraska and then at Immanuel Mental Health facilities in Fremont and Omaha for 12 years.

She married Willard Johnson in 1986 and they retired and moved to Bemidji, Minnesota. They loved to travel and visited all the states plus several countries. She volunteered at North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji for 20 years and enjoyed entertaining their large families and friends in their lake home.



Preceded in death by her parents, Don and Lucile Barritt; husband, Willard Johnson; daughter, Robin Hodge; granddaughter, Sara Claborn.

Survived by brother, Garry Barritt, North Oaks, MN; children: Rebecca Collins (Mick Koory) Omaha, NE, Casey (Jackie) Hodge, Scottsdale, AZ, Steven Hodge (Brian Wollard) San Jose, CA, John (Terrie) Hodge, Arizona City, AZ, James Hodge, Omaha, NE, Andrew Hodge, Mesa, AZ, Jennifer (Jeff) Claborn, Columbus, NE, Daniel (Joy) Hodge, La Quinta, CA, and Thomas (Julie) Hodge, Valley, NE; 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Monday, August 23rd at 9:00AM with fellowship following at John A. Gentleman Mortuaries 72nd Street Chapel. Memorials to the family or Siena Francis House.
