Sharon, a longtime Omaha resident, died unexpectedley at home on October 17, 2017 following a brief illness. She was born Jan. 25, 1939 in Des Moines, IA. to the late J. Roy and Wilma (Wood) Ferguson. Sharon was a warm, friendly, outgoing person who loved and cherished family and friends and who never met a stranger. She loved to travel, experience new places, meet new people and always treasured those memories. Sharon was a peson who expressed herself artistically. She loved to sing and was for many years a member of the Crescendos Singing Group which performed around the Omaha area. She loved photography and painting and worked for many years in the framing business. In midlife, Sharon fell in loved with hot air ballooning which became her passion and the subject of her art. She spent many happy summers at the National Hot Air Balloon Championship in Indianola, Iowa, photographing balloons, crewing for pilots and waiting for her chance to ride. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren, attending estate sales and sharing good times with her family and friends.She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, unconditional love and enthusiasum for life; and was an inspiration for the many who knew and loved her. Preceded in death by her parents. Survived by her brother, Michael Ferguson; children, Michelle Bradley, Robert (Cathy) Bradley, Scott Bradley, and Chris Bradley; grandchildren, Crystal (Jason) Boyd and Martell Bradley; great grandchildren, Mariah, Jason Jr., Landon and Jackson Boyd and Kiery Bradley

Visitation will be held Friday Nov. 3, 2017 at the John A. Gentleman Mortuaries, 72nd Street Chapel, 1010 North 72 Street Omaha, Nebraska 68114, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
