Sharron Noll

May 30, 1943 — February 14, 2025

Sharron Ann (McCoy) Noll, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, from complications of multiple myeloma. She was 81 years old.

Born on May 30, 1943, in Topeka, Kansas, Sharron grew up in Alma, Kansas and graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Education. She moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1968 where she lived and raised her four children. Balancing work and family, her early careers included teaching, managing the family restaurant Philly’s Cheesesteaks, and ultimately finding her calling in real estate. She was able to combine two things she loved, spending time with people and running around Omaha. Every home sale was an adventure, and every client a dear friend. Having attended the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting for nearly 40 years, she was delighted to retire from Real Estate working for Berkshire Hathway Home Services.

When she was home, Sharron was an avid gardener, she turned her small back yard into a magical space filled with flowers and plants she carefully selected and nurtured. Many hours have been spent on the back deck watching birds, butterflies and rabbits enjoy her work.

Sharron was competitive and loved to win. Growing up she played nearly every sport, excelling in softball as the pitcher for the Alma Chicks. Her dad was the coach and her sister Mary on first base, they went to the State Championships every year. One sport she never played was soccer, so naturally she became a soccer coach. She can be remembered running up and down the sidelines coaching her heart out. She will also be remembered as the first woman coach to win the Okoboji Invitational Soccer Tournament.

Sharron loved being surrounded by family, the more kids the better. Although she had many different roles throughout her life, she loved being a mother and grandmother most of all. Growing up in a small town with a big family, she welcomed cousins, neighbors and friends into her home. She loved being part of a team, and family was her team. She was head coach, head cheerleader and biggest fan. She loved every minute.

She was the daughter of the late Rose Marie (Floersch) and John McCoy and is survived by her sister Mary (McCoy) Beckman, brother-in-law Richard Beckman, Tom McCoy (Cindy), and in death by brothers Jack and Gere McCoy. She is survived by her four children, Michael Noll (Jill), Eric Noll (Annemarie), Deidre Mick (Todd) and Mary Noll. Her Grandchildren are Mia and Ella Noll, Preston and Lucas Noll and Heidi and Justin Mick, respectively.

Sharron’s Catholic faith was paramount in her life. She attended mass daily, participated in Bible study classes and was fortunate enough to make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Throughout her life she maintained a deep friendship with Sister Paschala Noonan and the Dominican Sisters of Peace. Although she felt a calling to be a Nun, God had other plans, as he often does. There is no doubt she is with him now.

Sharron built a life she loved, and she loved life. She said yes more than she said no, loved with her whole heart and laughed from her soul. She is deeply missed.
