Shirley Ann Williams, 68 passed away peacefully at home on January 9. 2024 surrounded with love. Shirley was born in Meridan Mississippi on November 8. She was the big sister to 6 siblings; 1 sister and 5 brothers;(she had her hands full). Shirley had a charitable heart and was always reaching out to help somebody whether through the church or community.
Shirley is survived by daughters, Luciana, Juanita, Alicia (Joshua Hall), and Alexandria Williams; grandchildren, Jacob and Cayden Williams, Quitin and Terrell Williams, Jurnee Pettis, Ayla and Aja Williams-Mattingly, Ahsha and Asher Williams-Hall and Joshua Hall Jr.; great-grandchildren Reno Renfro and Dai’Onna Williams; father, Melvin (Helen) Reed; siblings, Barbara Smith, Kenneth (Cindy) Smith, Doug (Gale) Smith, Said (Zakiyah) Muhammad, Michael Smith, and Lea “Lucky” Smith, Linda Reed, Darcheal Reed, and Marcheal Reed.
Preceded in death by her twin children Jennifer and Jonathan Williams, parents Bobbie Jean and Willie Smith; brother Byron E. Smith, brother Howard Reed, and sister-in-law, Donna Smith.
Funeral Service Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024 at 11:00 am at John A. Gentleman Mortuaries Bellevue Chapel. Visitation Wednesday 5:00-7:00 pm, also at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center Patient and Family Assistance Fund or her place of worship New Life in Christ Fellowship Church.
