Michael Othello Berry was born December 20, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan to Maurice and Dorothy Berry. He was the second of five children. He was 66 years old.

Michael was educated in Highland Park, Michigan at Highland Park High School, class of 1975. He also obtained a Bachelor of Administration degree from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 1999(?).

Michael was a proud retired Veteran of the United States Air Force, enlisting July 26, 1978. After basic training he attended Technical School at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. His military assignments included:

• Homestead Air Force Base, Homestead, FL

• Alconbury Air Force Base, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England

• Osan Air Force Base, South Korea

• Offutt Air Force Base, Bellevue, NE

Michael retired from the Air Force July 31, 2004 after 26 years of distinguished service. He later worked for Woodman Life for 10 years.

Michael met his wife, Rolanda Rolle at an air show at Alconbury Air Force Base in Cambridgeshire, England in September 1983. Michael wed Rolanda January 26, 1985, enjoying thirty-eight wonderful years of happiness and love. Michael was a devoted father to two stepsons – George and Darron Rolle, and grandfather to 6 grandchildren – Jorge (21), Ava (17), Francisco (17), Miles (15), Davin (13), and Austin (7). His loyalty, caring nature, selflessness, patience, discipline and dignity will be sorely missed and serve as an enduring model for the family he leaves behind.

Michael is preceded in death by his father Maurice Berry. He leaves to cherish and celebrate his loving memory his wife, Rolanda Berry, stepsons – George and Darron Rolle (Amy), mother Dorothy Ellison, brother Keith Berry, sisters Debra Berry, Carlotta Ellison and Adeeba Muhammad, along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
