Thomas J. Lake, Jr., age 78, is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marilyn and their 5 children
Jennifer, Thomas III (Margaret), Steven (Carol), Brian (Stephanie) and Timothy (Sarah) as well as 12 grandchildren.
Tom spent his career working for the railroad, initially for MOPAC in St. Louis and later for Union Pacific in Omaha. He worked
hard all of his life to provide for his family. Once he retired in 2001, he poured that same dedication into his grandchildren,
becoming a full-time grandpa, chauffeur, story teller and financial ATM.
Tom was creative & not afraid to be silly. He had a great sense of humor, always telling jokes & stories. He would give the best
advice, but only if you followed it. His priorities were always family first. He was a gentle, kind, and caring man who will be
greatly missed.
Tom’s parents, Thomas and Jeanette, and sisters Mary Jean and Patricia preceded him in death. He is also survived by his
sister Beverly and his identical twin brother John.
