Thompson (Tom) Hertzog Rogers passed away Thursday, February 8th.
He was preceded by his parents, Homer and Dorothy (Thompson) Rogers, and his brother, Billy Rogers.
He is survived by children Jonathan (Brittany) Rogers, Bridget (Brandon) Friede and Jordan (Parker) Heikes all of Denver; grandchildren Lucy, Gigi and Ruby Rogers and Lottie Heikes; and former wife, Jane Dinsdale Rogers.
Tom’s business career as the Chairman of Affiliated Companies, an investment management company, often overlapped with his commitment to community service. Co-founded by his father, Tom was a long-time supporter of Opera Omaha. He served as President of the Board from 1987 to 1988 and, when the need arose, joined the staff as CEO/Executive Director for the 1993-1994 season.
At the time of his death, Tom was Chairman of the Board of Partnership 4 Kids, a member of the Board of Advisors of Civic Nebraska and a member of the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Foundation for the Humanities.
Tom was a devoted father and cherished grandfather who will be missed dearly. May he rest in eternal peace.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, February 22nd, at 10:30 AM at Countryside Community Church, 13130 Faith Plaza Omaha, NE. 68144.
