Timothy Warthen

February 8, 1954 – June 24, 2024

Tim was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Harry and Mary Lois Warthen.  After graduation from North High School in 1972 Tim went to Metro Community College and earned an Associate's Degree in Ornamental Horticulture. There he met his future wife, Linda, and they were married in 1975. In 1977, Tim got a job with the City of Omaha as a Landscape Gardner, a position he loved. He went on to work for the city for 45 years in various positions.

Tim and Linda had two daughters, Megan and Lauren. Tim and Linda enjoyed traveling, and most recently went on a cruise to the South Pacific. Tim delighted in the outdoors, hunting, fishing and hiking. He loved his trips to Canada to catch walleye. Tim also liked to cycle, and along with tours in different states he did the Tour de Nebraska (TDN) for 25 years. Recently, Tim and Linda could be found out at Two Rivers and other camping sites with their camper trailer, kayaking. Tim was known as a 'silly' grandpa to his two grandkids, Colin and Corinne, with his sense of humor and Dad Jokes.
