Todd Andrew Oliver Veland was born November 27, 1964 in Omaha, Nebraska to Henry Oliver and Gladys Veland. On Tuesday, March 23, 2021 Todd passed after a long illness.
Todd was proud to have been named after his grandfather Andrew. He loved the Lord and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. Todd was baptized at Sharon Seventh Day Adventist Church and was a faithful member until his illness. He attended Sharon SDA Church School, Mayfield SDA School and Technical High School. Todd went to the Job Corps where he graduated in 1982.
He moved to Denver, Colorado for about two years but missed his family and returned to Omaha. Todd enjoyed helping people and worked as a CNA at Williams Care Manor. He loved cars and working on them. Todd attended Metropolitan Technical Community College where he graduated with a degree in Automotive Technology.
Todd loved his daughter Rita Joyce, his family, his nieces and nephews, music and dancing. He also loved to walk and cook especially for his mother and would keep his mother’s house speck and span. Todd was humble, never complained, had a sense of humor and was known for making people laugh.
Todd is preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Gradie Morris and Henry Oliver; brothers Jeffrey, Tony and Steven Veland and sisters, Cheri and Rhonda Veland; grandparents Andrew and Cassie Veland.
Todd Andrew Oliver Veland leaves to cherish his memories daughter, Rita Joyce Taylor; grandchildren, Londynn Taylor, Dominic Taylor and Sai’Zjohn Crooms; sisters, Myla, Eva, Leta and Elise Veland, Melissa (Frank) Dean, Sherry (Lonnie) Nelson and Jackie (Vince) Smith; brother, Brian Veland; special cousin Sheri Veland; dear friends, Judy Jackson-Lee, Patrice Bryson and Lealla Frazier and Sandra Brige; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family relatives and friends all of Omaha.
