Dr. Warren Tim Kable II
January 6, 1950 – February 15, 2021
Dr. Warren Tim Kable II was born in Youngstown, Ohio, to Dr. Warren T. Kable Jr. and Helen Hindman. He attended college at Texas A&M and was known to sing the Aggies fight song with his children on road trips. He graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1974. He completed his residency in OB/GYN in 1978. He pursued a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Louisville. In 1980, he moved with his family to Omaha, NE, to join the faculty and staff at Creighton University where he worked in various roles including Vice Chairman of the OB/GYN Department and Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education until experiencing a stroke in December 2002.
He retired as an Associate Professor Emeritus.
He adored his wife. He married Karen Marie Finan in August 1972, and together they have 7 children and 14 grandchildren. His family was his greatest source of pride.
He was a teacher, a coach, a storyteller, a doctor, a singer, and the one who would stay up late in the evening until you got home. He loved watching his kids and grandkids perform.
Tim loved playing golf from a very young age. It was a lifelong hobby of his and many of his best stories start off on a golf course with one of his sons.
Dr. Kable was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Karen of Omaha, NE, his children Dr. Joseph Kable and his wife Jenn, Dr. Kathryn Kenna and her husband John, Matthew Kable and his wife Becky, Michelle Starnes and her husband Danny, Mark Kable and his wife Kim, Dr. Mary Kriha and her husband Justin, and Dr. Tim Kable and his wife Allie, and his 14 grandchildren: Desi Nix-Kable, Helene Nix-Kable, Xavi Nix-Kable, Jack Kenna, Emily Kenna, Molly Kenna, Luke Kenna, Joey Starnes, Everett Starnes, Lauren (Evan) Stanislav, Aaron Elsberry, Jude Kriha, Vivianne Kriha, and Lucy Kable. He is also survived by his younger brother John (Ann) of Wichita Falls, TX.
The family has deeply appreciated all the care from the dedicated health care workers at Immanuel Hospital and with Kindred Hospice.
A PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICE will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021.
