Wesley was born in Davenport, IA to Lester and Dorothy Hansen. He served 4 years in the USAF before working mostly in the truck driving and transportation industry. Wesley enjoyed traveling, John Deere tractors, and cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Iowa Hawkeyes. He was a faithful and active member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Bellevue and later at Our Savior Lutheran in Norfolk, NE.
