William Robert King

William Robert King (Bill), aged 73, passed away at his home in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 4, 2023, with his beloved wife Kartha by his side. 

Bill was born on April 2, 1950, in Boulder City, Nevada to Robert and Rose King. He and his family later moved to California where he graduated in 1968 from Loara High School

in Anaheim. He went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University Fullerton in Fullerton, California.

On December 4, 1972, he married his high school sweetheart, Kartha Perkins. Two daughters, Karen and Kourtney, soon joined the family. They lived and worked in Anaheim for the majority of their married life. After 30 years working

with the Amway Corporation as a Distribution Manager, Bill eventually retired to

pursue other interests.

Bill enjoyed cooking, photography, camping, off-roading, coaching softball, umpiring Little League and spending time with his family. In 2019, he and Kartha relocated to Omaha to be closer to family. They remained in Omaha until his death.

Blessed to share his life was his wife of 51 years, Kartha Perkins King, his daughter

Karen Hoyman and spouse Adam, his daughter Kourtney King and partner Lance, two

precious grandchildren, Graham and Hayley, and his beloved dog, Rosie. He is also

survived by sisters Carol Muldrow and Mary Olufson of Riverside, California and the

many friends he kept in contact with over the years.

Private family services will be held at John A. Gentleman Mortuary in Omaha.
