Yai Wai Huey passed away March 9, 2016. Born in 1922 in Guangzhou, China. Preceded in death by husband, Sin Huey, who was manager of King Fong Café. She spent time as a school teacher before coming to the U.S. in 1948. She worked at King Fong’s for many years until her retirement. Known for her excellent memory, she took customer’s orders without writing anything down and could easily recall regular customer’s meals.
Survivors include son, James and daughters, Mary and Nancy; brother, Leung Show How of China; California relatives Chan Shui Ying, Huey Shew Ling, Lau Wah and Su Zhen Lee; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Service Saturday, March 19th at 10AM at John A. Gentleman Mortuaries Pacific Street Chapel. Visitation Friday 5-8PM at the mortuary. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials to your charity of choice.
